About Lisa Lisa Lisa
From a very early age, I recall many intuitive moments that helped me get through a harsh and difficult childhood. Using my intuition was a private matter growing up and not something anyone in my family ever talked about or would openly discuss publicly or privately. Like most people (prior to the turn of this century), being intuitive was a huge mystery, and people who professed to be a psychic were mysterious to us and perceived as gifted, lucky, special, a wizard, or deemed as Shamans.
During my upbringing, people who openly used their intuition were more often treated and labeled in a negative aspect such as witches, sinners, demon-possessed, occult worshippers, or accused of consulting with the devil or evil spirits because the individual was somehow accessing invisible powers and performing some kind of magic ability of which we were both afraid of and in awe of at the same time.
There’s still fear and ignorance in the world today because of the lack of awareness about intuition due to communities, cultures, and religious dogmas that keep people ignorant of their true nature as a Human Being and their connection to their higher consciousness, the Universe, God, the Creator which is already accessible within each and every one of us.
Fear Interrupts Our Natural Intuition
It took me years to cast off the stigma of fears and ignorance that my own culture, family, and religious upbringing had shamed me into thinking and believing; that not all of our human senses are intended to be used and we should be scorned and punished severely for doing so if we did.
Those instances when I had no control over those ”gut instincts” and I would occasionally listen to them, I was told it’s “divine”, “miraculous”, or some kind of “angelic assistance”. Even a “coincidence” was suggested as the reason and that was acceptable to others because it turned out fortuitous and good.
However, if I used my intuition regularly it was considered dabbling in the occult. I couldn’t explain how I got the information and no one could explain it to me either. As a child, I had no filter, and the consequences for blurting out things that were personal secrets or knowledge I should not have known about always came with severe repercussions that I endured over and over many times. I grew fearful of what was happening to me and couldn’t control it because I couldn’t talk about it. No one understood, least of all me.
That personal fear came out of inherited ignorance passed on generation after generation in my family just as it has throughout history for all of us. Intuition needs to be understood, identified, and properly used as our creator intended it to be so that all beings can be fully Human in Nature.
School Only Teaches Thinking
In school, I was influenced by the daily lessons to use my thinking mind to figure things out, analyze, and make better choices, etc. I didn’t even realize that I’d been taught to rely more and more on my thinking mind instead of my intuition.
By the time I finished High School, I wasn’t very good at using my intuition anymore. I’d been taught all through school to rely heavily on my thinking mind to “figure things out” and when I would have an “intuitive moment” my thinking mind would talk me out of it. Over time, I completely forgot how to tell the difference between the sound of my thinking mind and my intuition when both were talking to me. I spent a lot of time asking myself “why did I talk myself out of doing this or that?” (after the fact) over changing my decision back and forth and going with what made “sense” instead of my “gut instinct” or what I “felt in my heart” which was saying or doing the opposite of my thinking mind. I of course later regretted the choices I went with. (Sound familiar?)
I’m talking about the use of INTUITION. It speaks to all of us through ALL of our senses, all of the time, and in many different ways. Yet, we are taught to ignore our intuition so much that we aren’t even listening anymore when it speaks to us LOUDLY.
My Intuition Journey
Along my personal journey over the years, I’ve tried to understand how to use my intuition and to access it daily like all of my other senses of sight, smell, taste, sound or touch (not that I ever lost my intuition…I just had not recognized it anymore). I have achieved more than I ever expected I would through re-discovering how to access my intuition and use it again.
I’ve studied many books on the matter, completed many courses, and my path also eventually led to receiving certifications in Shamanism, Mediumship, and becoming a Master Intuitive by becoming fully aware of how intuition speaks to me and you. And I can communicate that information to you through a professional Reading or by providing you a way to access the language of your own intuition.
